Viewers can be notoriously impatient when it comes to new young soap characters. Who wants to watch a greenhorn polish
his or her acting skills while hogging valuable screen time? But PASSIONS is offering a fine intergration lesson with Nicholas
Foxworth "Fox" Crane.
Making said newbie the scion of a core family sparked immediate interest. Any son of self-centered Julian and Ivy had
to be lugging major emotional baggage. And the revelation that Theresa, while working as Ivy's assistant, sent gifts that
were supposedly from his negligent mom and added weight to Fox and Theresa's budding friendship.
Actor Justin Hartley exudes confidence as he tosses of Fox's glib lines. Of course, an engaging manner and good looks
don't hurt, either. And the show has wisely served up just enough of fun-loving Fox to whet our appetites for more, but no
so much that we feel he's being forced down our throats.
Though Hartley and Lindsay Korman (Theresa) work well together, Fox has stated that he might go after Whitney. Smart move.
If Fox and Theresa din't provide sufficent sizzle, PASSIONS is laying ground work for another love connection. Or the show
could develop a triangle. Though for a man to pirsue best friends would make him crazy...like a Fox.
